We are looking for an Event Manager to oversee five events over the course of the Trail of Lights Festival.
Primary point of call for food vendors and roving performers at the Launch Event;
Co-ordinate community volunteers at the Launch Event and throughout the 4 other event nights, ensuring volunteers know what they are doing and where they should be;
Liaise with Lantern Parade Co-ordinator and Art Tour Facilitators at the Launch Event to ensure all aspects of the events are running smoothly;
Help with the install and de-install of Lanterns and Light Art Installations;
Ensure equipment such as PA systems are installed and functioning;
Participate in the planning of the event – attending 2 Production Meetings;
Ensure the event runs to schedule and on budget;
Ensure event is completed smoothly and resolve any problems that might occur.
Experience in the arts and community sector as an event manager;
Outstanding communication and negotiation ability;
Excellent organizational skills;
A knack for problem-solving;
Proficient at management software and other relevant digital tools;
Passion for celebrating local communities through the arts;
Working with children’s check;
Drivers license preferable.
